Crossroad

My first post in english as wanted :)

Sometimes we find ourselves in a crossroad. Which way to go? I had that feeling yesterday when I noticed how much I enjoy working here in Brussels and on the other hand know there are dear people and my university waiting for me back home. But really would love working here later. So we will see.

The german socialist are once again in a crossroad too. I am very disappointed with the fact that for example ex-chairman Matthias Platzeck does not want aa co-operation with the left party. According to Spiegel he and a few other do not want for chairman Kurt Beck run as an candidate for the parliament elections in Germany. I do not like Beck either, but just because he said a coalition with left party in Hessen would be ok does not justice a pack againts him. Not for that reason. I prefer also, as Platzeck, the foreing minister Steinmeier being the next SPD chancelor candidate, but very much dissagree on the fact the SPD should not co-operate with the german left party.

Die Linke have over 11% support of the people which is the most after CDU/CSU 40% and SPD 30%. I know they have a communist history and some extremist, but so have the CDU-people ex-nazis and neonazi connections (not offially of course). And the Berlin wall fall over 18 years ago, so get over it. Germany is now in a five party -system. Welcome.

Great news is the fact even more women can be found in the parliaments all over the World, 18% totally. But there is still a long way until we have equality between men and women in the world. Before Finland (41,5%) and Sweden (47%) was RUANDA with 50%!! Wonder why?
